Who or what is Nigglefix?
Nigglefix is the brainchild of Andy,
which grew out of a comment made by my mother-in-law, Caroline.
I spent 22 years in the Royal Air Force fixing various aircraft and looking after other bits of kit. I then spent another 12 years fixing aircraft for Marshalls of Cambridge, before deciding that what I liked best of all was fixing all sorts of things from family computers, to hooking up friends’ surround sound systems, swapping light fittings, moving sinks, fitting taps and just generally making things work better in a whole variety of different ways.
If you’re interested, I have City and Guilds qualifications in the following:
Domestic electrical installation
Inspection, testing & certification of electrical installations
Requirements for electrical installations (BS7671) 17th edition
I have HNC and NVQ in aircraft maintenance
Various “A” & “O” levels [showing my age :-)]
Plus a lot of experience of general DIY, plumbing and fault-finding / fixing
On the computer side, my first computer was a Sinclair Spectrum, followed by various Commodore Amigas and then PCs, all of which (apart from my first PC) have been built and upgraded by me over the years. Currently I’ve 4 Raspberry Pi’s doing various tasks around the home, as well.
